간호대학생의 다문화 효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인

Factors Influencing Multicultural Efficacy in Nursing Student

본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 다문화 효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 2017년 3월부터 6월까지 C, G, I 지역 소재의 3개 대학교의 간호대학생 717명에게 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 이용하여 제 변수별 기술통 계와 상관관계 분석, 일반적 특성과 형식적 교육에 따른 다문화 효능감의 평균차이 검증과 사후검증을 수행하였고, 다문화 효능감에 영향을 미치는 변수를 규명하기 위하여 다중 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 간호대학생의 다문화 효능감에 영향을 미치는 변수들에는 다문화 인식의 하위영역인 인지적 요소(p=.001), 의식적 요소(p<.001), 행동적 요소(p<.001), 형식적 다문화 교육 중 대학전공과목(p=<.001), 대학교양과목 (p=.004), 비형식적 다문화 경험의 하위 영역인 외국어를 통한 경험(p=.049), 학년 (p<.001)이였으며, 이들 변수들의 설명력은 39.1%였다. 향후 간호대학생의 다문화 효능감을 높이기 위하여 대학 내 다문화 관련 전공 및 교양 교과목을 개발 및 적용 하는 것이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the multicultural efficacy of nursing students. Data were collected from 717 nursing college students from three universities in C, G, I area from March to June, 2017. The collected data were analyze using descriptive statistics and mean difference of multicultural efficacy according to general characteristics and experience of formal multicultural education. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the variables influencing multicultural efficacy. The variables affecting the multicultural efficacy of nursing college students include subcategories of multicultural awareness(cognitive( p=.001), affective(p<.001), behavioral(p<.001)), experience of formal multicultural education(college major(p=<.001), college cultural(p=.004)), experience of foreign language education(p=.049) in informal multicultural experience and study grade(p<.001). The adjusted R 2 of these variables was 39.1%. In order to increase the multicultural efficacy of nursing college students, it is necessary to provide multicultural education in nursing curriculum of formal and liberal arts courses.
