This article examines both feminism of Herbert Marcuse named the Father of the New Left and the relation of his feminism to the Women s Liberation Movement. For this aims, this studies developments and changes of Marcuse s socialism especially his thought about the revolutionary subject from the 1930s to the 1970s. In this process, I focused on the effects of the psychoanalysis of Freud. Besides the historical significance of Marcuse s socialism and feminism is also discussed in the way of comparison between his feminism and the radical feminism during 1970s focusing on Identity Politics .
