마키구치의 소카교육론에 관한 연구

A Study on Makiguchi Tsunesaburo’s Soka education

본 연구의 목적은 소카교육으로 알려진 일본의 교육가 마키구치 쓰네사부로의 교육자로서의 삶과 교육이론을 고찰하는데 있다. 마키구치는 제 2차 세계대전을 전후하여 교육이 인간상실을 주도하며 전체주의 군부정부와 전쟁의 수단으로 이용되었던 시기에 교육가로 활동하며 소카교육 이론을 구상하였다. 가치창조로 축약되는 그의 교육이론은 진실과의 대비를 통해 가치는 창조할수 있는 상대적 개념임을 밝힌다. 그리고 교육의 궁극적 목적인 행복은 인간이 창조하는 가치로서 개념화 한다. 더불어 미, 이, 선의 가치를 토대로 행복이 단순히 ‘이’를 추구하는 가치가 아닌, 사회적 ‘선’을 추구하는 가치임을 밝힌다. 마키구치의 교육이론을 통해 사회적 선을 지향하는 인재양성을 위한 교육, 실증주의적 경험을 토대로 교육적 진보를 주도하는 교사역할의 중요성, 지역공동체 중심의 교육이 필요함을 시사점으로 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the life and educational theories of Japanese educator Makiguchi Tsunesaburo who is known as ‘Sōka Education’. Makiguchi proposed the theory of Sōka education and acted as an educator in the postWorld War II era when education led to the loss of humanity and was used as a means for the war of totalitarian military government. Sōka education can be summarized in value creation, and values are relative concepts that can be explained through contrast with truth. And happiness is the ultimate purpose of education, and happiness is the value that human beings create. In addition, through explaining beauty , profit and good , happiness is not merely a value for pursuing profit but a value for seeking social good . Through the research, it was suggested that the education for cultivating the talent for the social good , the importance of the teacher role to lead the educational progress and the necessity of the education based on the community.
