The purpose of this present study was to investigate the effectiveness of a one-month short-term intensive TOEIC camp program during summer vacation and to explore junior college students’ perceptions about their learning experience through the TOEIC camp. For data collection, the participants took both pre- and post-TOEIC tests and were given post-survey questionnaires with open-ended questions. The findings show that this intensive TOEIC camp was very helpful and effective at increasing their TOEIC scores within a short period and at enhancing their learning motivation toward English. In addition, the camp program and instructors were reported to be satisfactory despite a few students’ dropping out. Problems and concerns were mentioned for more practical future TOEIC camp programs. This basic data can serve a meaningful guide for those who prepare TOEIC camps.
