The basic part of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is limited to the architectural exterior. From this perspective, the survey of the understanding by experts (architects) of the existing entrance doors was conducted for crime prevention by analyzing the design of the existing entrance doors, and the environmental design and defensible space theory for crime prevention as well as the situational crime prevention technique. The analysis results and the conclusions of the survey are as follows. First, the research was made on the expert s understanding of the opening of current entrance doors for entry of visitors to the unit house spaces where residents live. In it, the experts considered that the current entrance door system is not sufficient enough to prevent crime and privacy invasion. Therefore, the analysis result of the survey on the safety entrance door shows that additional functions should be added to the current entrance door to prevent crime and privacy invasion. Second, the regulation on the performance of the product having the function of defense against the invasion is limited to the impact on the structure which is a dynamic and static load bearing test. Therefore, to reflect the opinions of the experts (architects) obtained from the analysis of the survey, the provision on the function of the natural monitoring should be added to the regulation of Attachment 1 of the Architectural Announcement for Crime Prevention in the Architectural Act. The objective of this study is to contribute to the future research on crime prevention for the safety of residents who use the unit house space of a building and the development and use of safety entrance doors for crime prevention.
