부모의 자녀학습지원정도가 학업성취도를 매개로 진로성숙도에 미치는 종단적 영향력 탐색

A longitudinal mediation analysis of the parents’support on students’ career maturity through their academic achievement

본 연구는 ‘진로성숙도(career maturity)’를 주제로 시간이 경과함에 따라서 ‘부모의 자녀학습지원 변화’가 ‘학업성취도’를 매개로 ‘진로성숙도’에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 매개효과를 탐색하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 서울교육종단연구의 중학생 패널 3차(2012)～5차(2014)년도 자료인 중학교 3학년부터 고등학교 2학년까지 종단자료를 활용하였다. 잠재성장모형 분석 결과, 국어, 영어, 수학 학업성취도는 수직척도점수를 활용한 만큼 모두 중3, 고1, 고2에서 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 영어에서 증가율이 가장 컸다. 반면에 진로성숙도는 세 시점에서 통계적으로 유의한 성장이 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 자녀학습지원은 시간이 경과할수록 오히려 약간 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 종단 매개효과 검정 결과, ‘중학교3학년 시기의 부모의 자녀학습지원’은 ‘중학교 3학년 시기의 국어, 수학, 영어 과목의학업성취’를 매개로 ‘중학교 3학년 시기의 진로성숙도’ 및 ‘중학교 3학년부터 고등학교 2학년까지의 진로성숙도의 변화’에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 이는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this paper was to analyze longitudinal mediation effect of parent s support on career maturity through students’ academic achievement during the middle school 3rd grade to the high school 2nd.grad. A latent growth curve model was used to analyze Seoul Education Longitudinal Study data. The results showed that the parent’s support at middle school 3rd grade affected the career maturity of middle school 3rd graders through the academic achievement at middle school 3rd grade. Also, it was found that the parent’s support at middle school 3rd grade affected the change of career maturity from middle school 3rd grade to high school 2nd grade through the academic achievement at middle school 3rd grade.
