공과대학생의 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계능력의 관계에서 공감능력과 유머감각의 매개효과

The Mediating Effects of Empathy Ability and Sense of Humor on the Relationship between Internalized Shame and Interpersonal Relationship Abilities of Engineering College Students

본 연구의 목적은 공과대학생의 내면화된 수치심, 공감능력, 유머감각, 대인관계능력 간의 구조적인 인과관계와 직 간접효과를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 부산광역시 소재의 대학교에 재학 중인 공과대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 최종 적으로 459명의 자료를 구조방정식 모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공과대학생의 내면화된 수치심은 대인관계능력에 직접 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 공감능력과 유머감각은 대인관계능력에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘 째, 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계능력의 관계에서 공감능력은 완전매개효과가 있다. 셋째, 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계능력의 관계에서 유머감각은 완전매개효과가 있다. 넷째, 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계능력의 관계에서 공감능력과 유머감각의 순차적인 매개효과가 있다. 결론적으로 공과대학생의 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계능력 의 관계에서 매개변인으로 공감능력과 유머감각의 매개역할을 검증함으로써 그 내부의 심리적 역동을 구체적으로 알아볼 수 있었다. 따라서 대학기관 및 대학 내 상담센터 등의 상담 및 심리치료 접근에서 내면화된 수치심을 가진 공과대학생의 공감능 력과 유머감각을 높여 대인관계능력을 향상시킬 수 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural causality and direct and indirect effects of internalized shame, empathy ability, sense of humor, and interpersonal relationship abilities of engineering college students. For this purpose, engineering college students located in Busan for the survey. Responses from 459 of subjects were deemed appropriate, and finally analyzed. The result of this study were as follows: First, internalized shame of engineering college students did not directly affect interpersonal relationship ability, and empathy ability and sense of humor had a positive effect on interpersonal relationship ability. Second, empathy ability has a full mediating effect in relation to internalized shame and interpersonal relationship abilities. Third, the relationship between internalized shame and interpersonal relationship abilities has a full mediating effect on the sense of humor. Fourth, there is sequential mediation effect of empathy ability and sense of humor in relation between internalized shame and interpersonal relationship abilities of engineering college students. In conclusion, these results further contribute to the understanding of the relationship between internalized shame and interpersonal relationship abilities in that it verifies the role of empathy ability and sense of humor as a mediating factor within the relationship. Therefore, it suggests that it is possible to improve interpersonal relationship abilities by enhancing empathy ability and sense of humor of engineering college students with internalized shame in counseling and psychotherapy approaches such as college institutions and counseling centers in universities.
