국∙공립 어린이집 초임교사의 적응과정에 관한 질적 연구

Qualitative Research on the Adaptation Process of Public Nursery beginning teacher

본 연구는 국·공립 어린이집에 근무하고 있는 경력 2년 미만의 초임교사 3명을 대상으로 선정하여, 2018년 7월 한 달 동안 교직생활 적응과정 중 겪는 어려움과 이를 극복하기 위한 방안에 대해 심층면담을 통해 알아보았다. 초임교사는 익숙하지 않은 교육현장에서 겪는 어려움은 이론과 실제의 괴리, 시간부족, 역량부족, 과중한 업무 부담으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 어려움을 극복하기 위한 방안으로는 동료교사의 지원, 학부모와의 관계, 원장과 소통, 취미생활이 있다. 초임교사들은 서툰 업무 로 인해 교육현장에서 여러 가지 어려움에 직면하지만 각자의 다양한 방식으로 스스로 극복해나간다. 이를 통해 국·공립 어린이집 초임교사가 교직생활 적응과정 중 겪는 어려움의 종류에 대해 알아보고 파악할 수 있는 기회를 가짐으로써 초임교사를 지원방안을 제시하는데 의의를 둔다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difficulties in the adaptation process of teaching life and how to overcome these problems through in-depth interview during July 2018. The difficulties experienced in the unfamiliar education field can be divided into the gap between theory and practice, shortage of time, lack of competence, and heavy workload. To overcome these difficulties, there are support from fellow teachers, relations with parents, communication with the director, and hobbies. First-time teachers face many difficulties in the educational field due to their uncomfortable tasks, but they overcome themselves in various ways. In this way, we have the opportunity to identify and understand the kinds of difficulties experienced during the process of adaptation to teaching and learning in the national and public nursery schools.
