대만 대학 입학 제도의 주요 특징 분석

An Analysis on the College Admission Process in Taiwan

본 연구는 대만의 대학 입학 제도의 주요 특징을 분석하고 우리나라의 대학 입학제도에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 대만의 학제, 대학 입학 전형 및 시험의 성격에서 요구하는 평가 요소들의 특징들을 살펴보았다. 대만의 대학 입학 제도 는 번성추천 입학, 개인신청 입학, 시험 입학 세 가지로 분류되며, 각 전형에 반영되는 대학 입학 시험은 크게 자격고사의 성격을 갖는 학과능력측정시험과 선발고사의 성격을 갖는 지정과목고시로 구분할 수 있다. 대만의 대학 입학 제도는 전형에 따 라, 응시 대상자의 특성 및 진로에 따라 명확한 차이를 나타내었다. 번성 추천 입학과 개인신청 입학은 영어듣기평가, 학과능력측정시험의 성적이 반영되며, 예체능 관련학과에 지원하는 학생의 경우 예술고시의 성적이 추가로 요구된다. 시험 입학은 지정과목고시의 성적이 반영된다. 이러한 대만 대학 입학 제도의 주요 특징 분석을 통해 우리나라 대학 입학 제도의 평가 형태와 평가 내용에 대한 시사점에 대해 논의한다.

This study analyzed the main features of Taiwan University admission system and proposed implications for our country s college admission system. Taiwan students planning to continue their education have three options: ‘Stars Program’, ‘Personal Application’, ‘Admission by Examination&Placement’. Students enrolling in colleges in Taiwan were required to participate in Test of English Listening Comprehension(TELC), General Scholastic Ability Test(GSAT), Advanced Subject Test(AST). While Taiwan seeks diversity reflecting students careers in education courses and college admissions, it also plans, operates and implements the whole educational system as a national initiative. Taiwan sets up a test system that meets its typical purpose, conducts tests in consideration of the college entrance schedule, and reflects the results. Through the analysis of the main features of these College admission process in Taiwan, the evaluation forms and implications of the college admission process in Korea are discussed.
