The Effect of Perceived Organizational Justice on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Fashion Goods Salesperson in Department Store

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceived organizational justice on job satisfaction and turnover intention of fashion goods salespersons in department stores and also to figure out if that effect was affected by demographics such as employment status, job level, and job experience. For data collection, A survey was conducted to 450 fashion goods salespersons working at the department stores located in Gwangju city and Jeonju city, Korea from Jan. 13 to Jan. 29, 2015. Data from 404 respondents were used for the final analysis. To analyze the data, the SPSS 21.0 was used and frequence analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis and two-way ANOVA were conducted. The results were summarized as follows. First, organizational justice was divided into two factors as procedural. Interactional justice and distributive justice and only distribute justice exerted significant positive influence on job satisfaction. Second, both two factors of organizational justice exerted significant negative influence on turnover intention. Third, interaction effects of organization justice and demographic factors on job satisfaction and turnover intention were revealed to be partially significant. Fourth, the level of job satisfaction and turnover intention was partially different according to demographic factors.
