This study analyzed the differences and similarities of veterans’ welfare services among US, Australia, and UK. As a result of the study, most countries were shown to have their own systematic combination of veterans welfare services, which were reflected on their historical, societal, and institutional contexts. In particular, each country has provided their veterans with various welfare services(e.g., compensation, insurance, vocational rehabilitation services etc.) via individualized service delivery systems. The comparative study on welfare services among three countries such as US, Australia, UK revealed two distinct provision models of veterans’ welfare services. the one can be named by ‘a integrated model of social security system,’ which did not have different compensation and service system between civilians and veterans such as UK and Australia. the other can be named by ‘a departmentalized model of social security,’ which have maintained a different organizational service delivery such as US. Despite of different modes of services delivery throughout the countries, there were also similarities among them. That is, all have community-based clinics and nursing homes for veterans, and some specialized intervention programs focused on the veterans’ PTSD and psychological illness.
