This study is to discover mediation effects of family strengths, regarding relations between social welfare facility workers’ work-family conflicts and job satisfaction. Therefore, the questionnaire survey was conducted on 550 social welfare facility workers in Gwangju, followed by analyses of 309 married social welfare facility workers out of these survey respondents. Research results are as follows: According to research results, job satisfaction is influenced by job factors including flexible working hours, behavioral conflicts including work-family conflicts and family strengths. Particularly, in terms of work-family conflicts’ influences on job satisfaction and mediation effects of family strengths, family strengths have partial mediation effects on job satisfaction only in behavioral conflicts. In conclusion, it is imperative to decrease work-family conflicts and improve family strengths in order to increase social welfare facility workers’ job satisfaction. The importance of compatibility between work and family is being emphasized in the aspect of national polices pertinent to growth of organizations and increases in employment rate and birthrate as well as improvement of individual quality of life. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically and practically strengthen work-family compatibility programs relevant to family strengths by enhancing familial assimilation welfare programs and establishing familial assimilation systems.
