초등학생의 의사소통역량 함양을 위한 교육과정 재구성 및 효과 분석 연구

Reconstruction and Application of National Curriculum Unit for Improving Elementary School Students’ Communication Competency

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 의사소통역량 함양을 위해 백워드 설계 모형을 활용하여 교육과정을 재구성하고 그 효과를 분석하는 데 있다. 교육과정 재구성은 의사소통역량과 연계하여 4개 교과, 즉 국어, 사회, 수학, 과학 교과의 일부 내용을 재구성하였고, 효과 분석을 위해서 서울 소재 E초등학교 3학년 학생 46명을 대상 으로 재구성한 단원을 적용하였으며 의사소통역량 사전 사후검사와 학생들이 작성한 개방형 질문지의 내용을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 재구성 단원들은 학생들의 의사소통역량을 의미 있게 향상시켰으며 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 핵심역량과 연계한 실제적이고 구체적인 수업 방안 제시의 의의, 핵심역량 함양과 교과교육의 관계, 주지교과 이외의 교과와 핵심역량과의 연계 연구 등에 대해 논의하였다.

This study aimed at the development and application of reconstructed curriculum units based on backward design for improving third grader’ communication competency. Following backward design, a template per each subject(korean language, social studies, mathematics and science) were developed. Identical tests to measure communication competency were initiated before and after the program and answers to open questionaire written by students after each lesson were collected. Analyzing those results gathered, it was proved the program designed in this study was effective to improve students communication competency. Based on this results, it was recommended as themes of further studies: the practical teaching strategies for improving key competencies in relation to school subjects and the integration method of key competencies and school subjects.
