三國時代 地域樣式 土器 硏究의 사례 검토

Review about the case on the study of local style pottery in Three Kingdom Period – Respond to the counterargument against critisism of typological attribution analysis -

고고유물의 시간성을 연구하는데 있어서 맹목적인 진화론의 관점에 섰을 때의 문제점들에 대해 논한 바(金斗喆 2015) 있다. 그 중의 한 부분을 이루는 형식학적속성분석법에 대한 비판에 대하여 그 방법론의 창안자로부터 반박의 글(安在晧 2016)이 있었다. 이 논문은 그 반박 글에 대해 다시 답하고 그와 관련하여 대안으로 제시하였던 방법론을 삼국시대 지역양식 토기의 연구를 행하였던 몇 사례들을 들어서 보다 상세히 설명함으로써 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 형식학적속성분석법은 고고자료 분류의 기본단위인 型式과 그것을 설명하는 인자인 屬性의 관계에 대하여 잘못 이해함으로써 분류 대상이며 실제 시간적 변화의 주체이기도 한 형식보다는 속성결정주의라 할까 속성만능주의로 흐르면서 고고학에서의 분류학인 형식학의 의미를 망각하고 있다. 형식을 시간성을 측정하기 위한 방편으로만 파악하고자 한 것이 그 좋은 예이다. 이 방법은 1개의 유물에 내포된 여러 속성들로써 이미 동시성이 담보되었다고 파악함으로써 스스로 검증의 수단을 차단해버린 문제점이 있다. 속성의 상관과 조합을 통해 형식을 설정하고 형식조열을 편성하며 이를 일괄유물을 통해 검증하고자 한 대안의 방법은 몬텔리우스의 고전적 형식학의 원리에 따른 전통적 방법에 충실한 것이며 연구 진행은 분기 (단계구분)까지 가능하다.

I discussed about problems when stand on the view of extreme evolutionism to study temporality of the archaeological artifact. Against my criticism about the typological attribution analysis one part of these problems, the originator of this method wrote a refutative research paper. In this paper, answer against his criticism again and explain in detail about the method that I did suggest with quoting cases that studied about local style pottery in Three Kingdom Period. As the typological attribution analysis flows to the attribution-determinism or the attribution omnipotence rather than the type that is the target of classifying as well as the subject of change with misunderstanding the relation between the type of a basic unit to classify the archaeological data and the attribution, the meaning of the typology as the classification of the archaeology is forgotten. For instance, the type is apprehended as a method to grasp temporality. As it is thought that the various attributions in one artifact prove simultaneity each other in this method, it causes a problem to block the way to verify. The alternative method that the type is set through correlation and combination between attributions and serie is formed and it is verified by the artifacts found together follows the traditional method of classical typology of Motelius. The research process can be progress ed to devide period(phase).
