중국 동북 지역 지석묘의 상석 채석과 운반

The mining and transport of dolmen capstones of the Chinese northeast area

중국 동북 지역 지석묘 상석의 채석과 운반에 관해서는 그간 상석 채석지에 대한 조사가 이루어지지 않은 까닭에 별다른 연구가 진행되지 못하였다. 다만 中國의 許玉林이 상석 운반과 관련한 외국의 실험 사례와 민족지학적 자료를 통해 운반 기술을 유추한 것이 있을 따름이다. 그런데 중국 동북 지역 지석묘군의 부근에서는 아직 중국측에서 정식으로 조사하지는 않았지만 확실한 상석 채석지가 발견되고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 자료들을 토대로 중국 동북 지역 지석묘의 상석 채석과 운반에 관해 살펴보았다. 중국 동북 지역 지석묘는 지석묘군과 상석 채석지의 입지 및 거리 관계에 따라 크게 3개 부류로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 첫째 부류는 상석 채석지가 동일 구릉에 배치되어 있는 경우이고, 둘째 부류는 상석 채석지가 2km 이내의 다른 입지에 위치하고 있는 경우이며, 셋째 부류는 2km 이상 원거리에 배치되어 있는 경우이다. 운반 기술과 도구는 입지와 거리에 따라 조정되었을 것으로 여겨지는데, 첫째 부류는 통나무 굴림목·밧줄·지렛대·목도 등만으로도 충분하였을 것이고, 셋째 부류는 운반틀은 물론 통나무 레일·하천 결빙·氷雪 路面·소할석층 운반로 등 가능한 모든 방식이 동원되었던 것으로 판단된다.

Due to inadequate research on the mining source of capstones, research on the mining and transport of dolmen capstones of the Chinese northeast area has been lacking. Only Xuyulin, a Chinese scholar, through foriegn experimental examples and ethnographic material on the moving of capstones, has inferred on the subject. However, although not formally researched, in the vicinity of dolmen groupings of the Chinese northeast area, certain capstone mining grounds are being discovered. This paper, based on such material, attempts to discuss the mining and transport of dolmen capstones of the Chinese northeast area. The dolmen of the Chinese northeast area, can be divided into three categories according to the geographic setting of dolmen groups, mining grounds and distance. In the first group, the capstone mining ground is located on the same hill, in the second group, the capstone mining ground is located on a different geographic setting within a 2 kilometer distance, in the third group, the capstone mining ground is located at a distance of over 2 kilometers. The means and tools of transport would have differed according to geographic setting and distance, in the first case, the use of rolling logs, ropes, levers and poles would have been adequate. In the third case, all possible methods including carts, logs, frozen rivers, frozen snow roads, gravel roads seem to have been mobilized.
