한반도 출토 통형동기와 자루의 접속방법

The connection method of a tub-form bronze ware with a handle in the Korea-Peninsula

본고에서는 한반도에서 출토된 통형동기와 자루의 접속 1) 방법에 대해 검토했다. 우선 통형동기의 내부에 자루가 양호하게 잔존하는 자료의 관찰을 통해서 세별 4류의 접속방법이 있는 것을 밝혀 접속에 임해 자루의 하부에 어떠한 가공이 베풀어지고 있을까에 주목했다. 그 결과 자루는 장부상( 狀) 2) 으로 만들어져 그 하단은 구연부내로 들어가 통형동기의 내부에 공간을 확보하도록 접속되고 있으므로 동요(動 搖)를 주는 것에 의해서 소리를 발생시킨다고 하는 통형동기의 기능과의 관련성을 상정했다. 또 통형동기의 형태와의 관계성에 대해서도 검토해 통형동기에는 다양한 형태차이가 있는 한편, 자루의 접속방법이나 자루의 하단이 멈추는 위치 등에 있어 강한 규칙성을 찾아낼 수 있었다. 그러한 상황으 로부터 통형동기의 형태차이에 관계없이 통형동기의 기능이나 부여된 성격 등에 관한 정보가 대체로 공유되고 있었던 가능성이 높은 것을 지적했다.

In this paper, I examined how to connect a tub-form bronze ware and a handle excavated in Korea Peninsula. First, observing the handle which is well preserved in the tub-type bronze ware, I defined that there are 4 kinds of connection method and focused on some process on the bottom of the handle when connected. As a result, the handle was made on tenon form and it insert into a hole with securing space. It has relevance to the function making a sound with flourishing. In addition, even though tub-form bronze ware comes in various forms, there is strong regularity in the connection method and stopped position of the bottom of the handle. From such situation, the information about the function or the character should be mostly shared, irrespective of the form difference.
