Study on the Progression of Text Structure for Reading Instruction

This study is the link of research which searches the text structure to extend the reading ability of the learner. Among many research area which searches the text structure, this writing looked into the progression of meaning relation with researches on the principle to form meaning structure and pattern of meaning relation. Text meaning structure is the hierarchic coherence structure that the components are connected to the meaning relation to be the equality and subordination according to the progression of the meaning relation in various stage. Reader must know the meaning relation that makes text components have the coherence by connecting components each other. And reader must know the progression of meaning relation that constructs a text structure by meaning relation in various stage. The patterns of text structure progression are next four. These do with principle of extension. ① the upper pattern of meaning relation progression, ② the equal pattern of meaning relation progression, ③ the subordinate pattern of meaning relation progression, ④ the turning pattern of meaning relation progression.
