교실 내 방향성식물의 유ㆍ무가 초, 중, 고등학생들의 학습집중력 및 정서안정에 미치는 영향

Effects of the Existence of Aromatic Plants in Classroom on Learning Attention and Emotional Stability for Elementary, Middle, and High Schools Students

This experiment was conducted to examine the effects of oriental lilies on elementary, middle and high schools students’ concentration on their learning attention and emotional stability. One hundred eighty students from S elementary school, 250 students from D middle school, and 250 students from S commercial high school located in Seoul, were selected for the experiment lasting three weeks and each class was allocated to the control group, the oriental lily with aroma group and the oriental lily without aroma group. After three weeks, the oriental lily with aroma group scoring even higher than the others of concentration on the studies. Score of 4.27 point gained for elementary school students, score of 2.9 point gained for middle school students, and score of 2.94 point gained for middle school students. Furthermore, it is found that the aroma of oriental lilies have good effects on the emotional stability of students.
