A Study on the Preference and Status of Outdoor Activity Program on Apartment Complexes

This study was carried out to survey and analyze the preference and status of outdoor activity program on apartment complexes. The results were summarized as follows; The programs were applied to 16.5% of total apartment complexes surveyed in this study. The utilization rate of program in Gyeonggi-do was higher than in Seoul. The bigger the number of households was and the later the construction completion time was, the higher the utilization rate of programs was. The programs used for the outdoor space of apartment complexes were physical training > festival > bazaar > gardening > vegetable gardening in order. Most of the programs was directly managed and most of the participants’ age groups were adults and older people. The outdoor spaces used for programs were central garden > green space > street > healthy space > rest space > vegetable garden in order. The problem related to the use of program was a low level of participation. In addition, the main reason that the program was not applied was also the low participation level. The programs which residents prefer to were bazaar > yoga > flower gardening > film screening > concert > vegetable gardening in order.
