Effect of Slow Release Fertilizers on the Growth of Vegetables

  • 31

This experiment was conducted to clarify the effect of the slow release fertilizers on the growth of vegetables. Leachate EC was investigated according to the type and amount of fertilizers. As a result, leachate EC was higher with increasing the amount of fertilizer, it was lower with the lapse of time. EC was higher than 3.5 dsㆍm-1 above Agroblen and Tobi 3g. Leaf length of endive in all fertilizations were increased more than 16.8cm of control. Leaf number in all fertilizations were increased more than that of control. Plants were withered above Agroblen and Tobi 3g fertilizations. Leaf length and width of lettuce in all fertilizations were increased more than that of control. Most of all, Agroblen 1g and Osmocote 3~5g treatments were the most increased more than others. Root length in fertilizations were increased more than control, except for Agroblen 3g and Tobi 1g treatments. Leaf length and width of mustard were similar to all fertilizations, except for Osmocote 1g. But, Agroblen 1g was the most long and big leaf. Leaf number of mustard in all fertilizations were increased more than control. Agroblen 1g had the most leaf number of 8.6. Plant height of tomamto in all fertilizations were increased more than 12.9cm of control. Flowering in all fertilizations were very similar. No fertilizing group showed no fruit. But fertilizing were in fruit. And MagampK 1~5g, Agroblen 1g and Osmocote 3~5g fertilizations were many in fruits more than others. As a result, agroblen 1g was very good fertilizer for the vegetables considering in leaf number, fruit number and fertilization amount.
