Analysis of Research Trend of Published Paper in Journal Articles Related with Horticultural Therapy, Occupation Therapy, Art Therapy and Musical Therapy from 2002 to 2011

In order to review for priority setting in the horticultural therapy research, research pattern, participant and program were done a comparative analysis a published papers based on 910 journal articles related with horticultural therapy, occupation therapy, art therapy, and musical therapy from 2002 to 2011. Journal published articles in 2002, 2006 and 2011 were indicated 54 papers(5.9%), 84 papers(9.2%) and 134 papers(14.7%), respectively and alternative treatment related with research was increasing trend. Research type was focussed mainly experimental research and horticultural therapy, art therapy, occupation therapy and music therapy showed 76.1%, 74.7%, 68.3% and 57.0% respectively. Symptom of participant in an experiment papers, mentally retarded person showed 32,6 % in horticultural therapy and 11.4% in art therapy, stroke 24.8% in occupation therapy and depression 15.1% in music therapy. The gender of participants in an experiment papers, females was shown 52.1-55.1%, and age was greatest below 19 year-old, 49.5% of art therapy, 47.2% of musical therapy, 44.2% of horticultural therapy and 28% of occupation therapy was done. Participants per program in an experiment papers, number of articles less than ten participants were shown 59.3% in horticultural therapy, 72.9% in art therapy and 58.5% in music therapy and occupation therapy was 40.9% more than 36 participants. Measurement of evaluation of the use of the tools of horticultural therapy was 21.4% in self-worth measurement, occupation and art therapy was 44.5% and 15.9% in observation journal, music therapy was 21.3% in video recording. According to alternative therapy, characteristic difference tends to exist and application time should be considered.
