This study conducted to development of multicultural understanding educational gardening activity program through analysis of effect to general family’s children not the multicultural family’s children and to inform the necessity of multicultural understanding educational gardening activity manual. To achieve these goals, multicultural understanding educational gardening activity program has been reconstituted based on multicultural integrated educational gardening activity manual rural development administration (NAFC, 2008)) has developed. 14 sessions of multicultural understanding educational gardening activity program(self-esteem model 8, caring model 6) was conducted. Self-esteem model is made up of selfidentity, classification of self-love and self-interest, self-realization. Caring model consists of sympathy & empathy, caring based on respect, prejudice and discrimination. A total of 27 students (male 15, female 12) in the 6th grades of elementary schools were sampled for a pre-post survey intended to compare their changes of self-esteem, care, multicultural understanding and attitude. The survey results of pre-test and post-test are as follows. There is statistically significant difference in self-esteem (t=5.68, p=0.0000), caring (t=3.04, p=0.0026), multicultural understanding (t=6.92, p=0.0000), multicultural attitude (t=8.14, p=0.0000) had increased. Following results those findings, multicultural understanding educational gardening activity program had a positive effect on self-esteem, caring, multicultural understanding, multicultural attitude. This program had not effect on the scale of conductive domain. That is the reason why this program was short-term activity.
