A Study on User’s Interest and Needs of Landscape Architecture Construction Process: Focused on the GwangGyo Housing Site Development District

The user’s interest and needs to participate in landscape is particularly strong in housing site development districts. They show the urge to take part in landscape construction process as a group through web communities recently. This study was planned in order to focus on this status and utilize various responses of the web community users. For this purpose, Gwanggyo new town residents’ general federation cafe of the Internet portal ‘Naver’ was selected as the subject of study. 459 posts related to landscape architecture was collected with 52 keywords and was used as analysis materials. The result of analysis is as follows. First of all, contents about lakesㆍstreams and public facilities were the most in number among the posts. The residents were especially interested in qualitative issues, followed by worries about environmental influence and defectㆍpoor. Secondly, the residents’ response rate had meaningful difference depending on the posts’ motives and construction area. Response rate to the posts that posed problems were the highest, especially to the posts about structures. Lastly, after classifying the posts depending on each construction area, in case of structures there were many emotional criticisms, while paving had a lot of pointing out problems, and planting had many posts comparing to other places.
