Effect of Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture Complex Therapy on Rotator Cuff Tear without Range of Motion limitation

Objectives This clinical study was to investigate the effectiveness of bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy on rotator cuff tear without range of motion(ROM) limitation. Methods A patient with rotator cuff tear without range of motion(ROM) limitation was treated by bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy. We applied 0.01~0.02cc of bee venom on acupuncture point once a day for 7 visitations. To investigate effectiveness of treatment we used visual analogue scale. Results 1. The bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy decreased right shoulder pain. 2. As a result of evaluation by visual analogue scale the score marked lower than before treatment and after treatment. Conclusion Bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy might be effective fot shoulder pain that patient have rotator cuff tear without range of motion(ROM) limitation. However, further research is needed.
