Review on medical assistance of participating teams in 2012 Ice Hockey Women s World Championship

Objectives This study was designed to analyze the usage of medical service supported during the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation Ice Hockey Women s World Championship Division 2, Group B for furthermore study. Methods From 24 patients, visited the medical room in the arena and in the hotel, we collected the information of sex, nationality, chief complain and type of treatment methods. Result & Conclusion 1. Sex, female was 22, and male was 2. 2. The days of treatment, case of patients had treated onetime was 15, that of patients had treated over-twice was 9. 3. Nationality, most of patients were Republic of South Africa(39%) and the patients of Spain(33%). 4. Chief complain, the number of shoulder was the most(19%), followed by neck, elbow, lower back, knee, ankle. 5. Treatment method, the number of acupuncture was the most(49%), followed by taping, manipulation, physical treatment.
