Effect of Electroacupuncture Complex Therapy on the Patients with Nuchal Pain

Objective This study was done for reporting the effect of electroacupuncture therapeutics on patients with nuchal pain. Methods We investigated 28 cases of patients with nuchal pain, and devided patients into two groups : We treated one group by complex korean medical treatment with electroacupuncture therapeutics, and did the other group by complex korean medical treatment without electroacupuncture therapeutics. Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Pain Rating Score(PRS) at baseline and final were used for evaluating the effect of the treatment. Results 1. In electroacupuncture therapeutics group and non-electroacupuncture therapeutics group, compared with baseline, at final, VAS and PRS were significantly decreased. 2. At final, electroacupuncture therapeutics showed significant decrease on VAS and PRS compared with non-scratching method group. Conclusion Electroacupuncture therapeutics showed significant improvement in nuchal pain.
