The Clinical Report on One Case of Functional Lumbar Scoliosis Patient after Acute Low Back Pain

Objectives This study is to report the improvement of functional lumbar scoliosis after acute low back pain with limited range of motion in lateral bending, who treated by acupuncture treatment, herbal acupuncture therapy and Motion Style Treatment (M.S.T.). Methods We examined one patient through X-ray examination and physical test. This patient was diagnosed as functional lumbar scoliosis after acute low back pain. We used acupuncture, herbal acupuncture therapy and M.S.T treatment and measured of Cobb s angle and V.N.R.S.(Verbal Numerical Rating Scale) score and R.O.M.(Range Of Motion) of L-spine in lateral bending after the treatment. Results and Conclusions The pain level and cobb’s angle were decreased after treatment. And R.O.M. of L-spine in lateral bending was improved and decreased V.N.R.S. score. M.S.T. treatment can be effective for decreasing pain and also improving lumbar mobilization and correcting the functional lumbar scoliosis by acute low back pain.
