The fourth industrial revolution, first proposed by Klaus Schuob in 2016, has been actively discussed in the logistics industry. It is envisioned to combine cyber and physical systems (CPS), which enable the exchange of data and information between all things and humans. In this study, we examined the response policies of Germany, USA, Japan, and Singapore, which are actively preparing for the changes caused by the fourth industrial revolution, and the international logistics competitiveness evaluation index. This paper presented the problems and competitiveness of Chinese logistics industrialization. In order to enhance the competitiveness of the logistics industry in China, we propose alternatives through the five areas of the logistics competitiveness index (LPI): customs, infrastructure, international shipments, logistics competence, tracking and tracing. It should be an exemplary case to prepare for the 4th industrial revolution in China, not only by the private sector but also in line with the trend of the European market, which is focused on leading the world market in preparation for the government and is competitive. This study is limited because it is the initial stage of the 4th Industrial Revolution, so literature research can be limited. Future studies should be conducted using more detailed literature and analytical techniques.
