As mobile services get more complex through the development of wireless communication technologies and the convergence of voice, text, images, and movies, it is hard to figure out the factors affecting customers’ intentions to adopt a new service. Based on the technology acceptance model (TAM), this paper has examined determinants of users’ acceptance of the next-generation mobile services (NGMS) in Korea, which is one of the most important sources of global competitiveness of Korean IT firms in the near future. To do so, we augmented TAM with several constructs such as self-efficacy, compatibility, ubiquity, tele-presence, job relevance and service cost from other theories. The results of this study indicated the significance of the constructs used in the augmented TAM for the users’ intention to adopt the NGMS.
