The need for a responsible response to global warming is being raised throughout the world through research. It is also time for Korean fishermen to actively seek countermeasures. This study analyzes the GHG emission reduction targets of major countries and then examines the relationship between global warming and fisheries. In addition, the paper analyzes the responses of major organizations and countries in the fisheries sector to climate change and examines the response of the fisheries sector of Korea to climate change. It also reviews the countermeasures in the fisheries sector to actively cope with the environmental changes caused by climate change, such as changes in the marine resource stock of short sea due to climate change. It summarizes the major issues and suggests its implications.
