A new bicolor sptay rose (Rose hybrida Hort.) cultivar “Little Sun” was developed from a cross “Nikida” and “Little Marbel” followed by seedling and line selections at the Flower Breeding Research Institute, Gyeongnam ARES in 2000. Characteristics were examined three times from 2000 to 2003. It has characteristics of red-purple group color (RHS No. 42-A), few thorns, high yield, and spray rose flower. The ray floret and flower center were harmonized well, and the vase life was 9.8 days. This cultivar was registered as a commercial cultivars in 2005. It will be able to be planted in any greenhouse production region in Korea.
