『삼국사기 』직관지의 원전과 편찬

A study on the original text and compilation of the Samguksagi Jikgwanji -focused on the Local district governors and Paegangjinjeon, Local Office Rank, Unknown government organization records-

본 논문은 󰡔삼국사기󰡕 직관지 외관과 패강진전, 외위, 미상관제 기록의 원전과 그 성격, 직관지 찬자의 외관 이하 기록의 편찬 과정과 태도 등에 대해 살핀 것이다. 외관에 관한 기록의 원전은 헌덕왕 14년(822)에서 문성왕 4년(842) 또는 늦어도 문성왕 17년(855) 사이에 찬술되었고, 직관지 찬자는 여기에 전하는 내용을 직관지에 인용한 다음, 다른 전승자료에 전하는 지방관의 異稱을 補注로 添入함으로써 외관 기록을 완비하였다. 패강진전에 관한 기록의 원전은 문성왕 17 년(855) 이전에 찬술되었고, 경위와 외위, 고구려·백제 관등을 견준 기록의 원전은 흥덕왕 4년(829)에서 헌안왕 즉위년(857) 사이에 格에 전하는 敎令 가운데 외위 및 고구려·백제 관등을 경위와 견준 기록들만을 발췌하여 정리한 것이며, 직관지 찬자는 두 기록의 원전을 직관지에 인용하면서 일부 기록을 추가하거나 개서하였다. 직관지에 전하는 未詳官制는 [삼국사기]와 신라인들이 찬술한 전승자료, 금석문에 전하는 것들인데, 이들 관제 가운데 대부분은 신라의 관제였지만, 일부는 태봉의 관제였고, 일부는 唐에 사신으로 갔던 사람들이 당으로부터 수여받은 非實職 官銜이었음이 확인된다. 이밖에 직관지 찬자는 궁예열전에 전하는 태봉관제를 직관지 말미에 소개하였다.

This paper examines the original texts, features, and compilation process of the Local district governors and Paegangjinjeon, Local Office Rank, Unknown government organization records in Samguksagi Jikgwanji. The original records about Local district governors was compiled between the 14th year of King Heondeok(822) and the 4th year of King Munseong(842) or at the latest, the 17th year of King Munseong(855). The author of Jikgwanji included this records in the Jikgwanji, and inserted different opinions about how the local district governors were called at that time as commentaries according to another transmitted material, and thereby completed this records. The basic original text about Paegangjinjeon records was written before the 17th year of King Munseong(855). Also, there was a record which compared the Central Office Rank(京位) with the Local Office Rank(外位), Goguryeo and Baekje’s Office Rank. This records was a rearrangement of excerpts from the king’s orders in Gyeog issued from the 4th year of King Heungdeok(829) to the first year of King Heonan(857), specifically the ones which compared the Local Office Rank, Goguryeo and Baekje’s Office Rank with the Central Office Rank. The author of Jikgwanji used these materials in writing Jikgwanji by adding or editing parts of them. The unknown government organization records was originally mentioned in Silla’s records and Samguksagi, transmitted materials, and epigraphs. Most of the unknown government organization were Silla’s, but it can be confirmed that some of them were Taebong’s and some were unpractical government post that the envoys were awarded by the Tang Dynasty. Furthermore, the author of Jikgwanji introduced Taebong’s government organization described in the Gungye Yeoljeon at the end of the Jikgwanji.
