Text Network Analysis of Activity Goals of Social Learning in the Teaching Manual of Korea’s National Kindergarten Curriculum

텍스트 네트워크 분석을 활용한 국가수준 유치원 교육과정 교사용 지도서의 사회교육 목표 연구

[연구목적] 본 연구의 목적은 국가수준 유치원 교육과정 교사용 지도서에 수록된 사회관계 활동 목표를 비교 · 분석하여 유아사회교육의 현황을 조사하는데 있다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 사회관계 활동 목표의 텍스트 네트워크 분석 결과가 연령별로 어떻게 다른지 살펴보고, 어떠한 단어로 목표를 주로 설명하고 있는지 경향성을 분석하였다. [연구방법] 연구방법은 다량의 문서 자료를 객관적이고 과학적으로 분석할 수 있는 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 사용하여 비교하였다. [연구결과] 연구의 결과, 사회관계 활동 목표를 기술할 때 연령에 따라 공통적이거나 차이가 드러나게 사용되는 단어들이 구분되어 나타났다. 또한 유아사회교육 측면에서 있어서 사회정서발달과 관련된 단어들이 주요하게 사용되었고, 상대적으로 사회과학지식과 관련된 단어는 적게 사용되어 차이를 보였다. [결론] 본 연구는 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 사회 활동 목표를 한 눈에 볼 수 있게 시각화하고 전체를 조망할 수 있도록 분석한 점에서 의의를 가진다. 향후 유아사회교육 및 교육과정 개정에 참고 자료로 사용되기를 기대한다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate the current state of early childhood social education by comparing and analyzing the goals of social relations activities in teaching manual for national kindergarten curriculum. In order to achieve the purpose of the research, we analyzed the results of the text network analysis of social relations activity goals by age and analyzed the tendency of what words mainly describe the goals. Methods : The research method was compared using text network analysis which can analyze objectively and scientifically a large amount of document data. It is useful method to analyze numerous text materials, giving a one-stop view of analysis results. Results : As a result of the study, when describing the goals of social relations activities, words that are common or different in age are distinguished. Also, words related to social emotional development were mainly used in the aspect of early childhood social education, and relatively few words related to social science knowledge were used. Conclusion : This study has significance in that it analyzes the social activity goals presented in the teaching manual using text network analysis so that it can be seen at a glance and can be viewed as a whole. It is expected that it will be used as a reference material in the future revision of social education and curriculum of early childhood.
