목회적 관점에서 본 마르틴 루터의 신학

Theological Themes of Luther’s in perspective of pastoral Ministry

마르틴 루터(1483-1546)는 어거스틴 수도회 수도사의 신분으로 독일 종교개혁을 촉발하였다. 수도사로서 누구보다도 성실하게 살았기 때문에 “죄짓는 인간과 이를 구원하시는 하나님 사이의 관계”가 신학과 신앙의 궁극적 주제라는 사실을 깨닫게 되었다. 법학도 시절까지 진노하시는 하나님 앞에서 벌벌 떨며 지옥과 연옥에서 갚아야 할 죄과 때문에 번민하던 사람이, 믿음으 로 의롭게 된다는 성서의 말씀을 접하고 얻은 신앙의 자유는 루터신학 전체를 꿰뚫는 토대가 되었다. 루터는 비텐베르크 대학의 성서학 교수로 활동하면서도, 대학교회인 궁성교회와 시립교회인 마리아교회 설교자로도 헌신하였으며, 그가 남긴 2000여 편의 설교는 오늘까지 어떤 경로로든 전해져 그의 목회적 사역을 엿볼 수 있게 하고 있다. 루터는 경험이 신학을 만든다고 말할 정도로 현장을 중요시했던 신학자였다. 그리고 그의 대부분의 신학 작품들은 당시의 현실에 등장한 문제점들에 대한 고민과 숙고 끝에 탄생한 것들이다. 그는 자신과의 투쟁, 가톨릭교회와의 투쟁 그리고 급진주의자들과의 투쟁 속에서 개혁자로서 성장하였다. 이 논문에서는 루터의 신학적 주제들을 목회적 차원에서 고찰하였다. 신학이 이론으로 그치지 않는 특수한 성격을 가진 학문이라면, 루터의 신학을 목회적 관점에서 정립해 보는 일 또한 매우 의미가 있으며, 어쩌면 이것이 루터자신이 추구했던 신학 연구 방법론일 가능성이 매우 높다고 본다. 성서와 윤리와 교회라는 세 주제를 가지고 루터의 신학을 목회적으로 들여다 보았는데, 이는 루터가 신앙의 순서를 기도(oratio), 묵상(meditatio), 시련(tentatio)이라고 설명한 것과도 일치한다. 말씀을 읽고 이것을 깊이 연구하고 결국에는 삶에서 적용하는 일이 루터가 말하는 신학과 신앙의 여정이다.

As we all know, the cognition of God and Man is the main theme of Luther’s theology. more correctly say, the task of theology is to understand the relationship between God and man. In this perspective we can obviously conform, that Luther’s theology has existential double theme, exactly homo reus et perditus et deus justificans vel salvator. This means that Luther’s theology must be researched not only theoretically, but also practically. The Wittenberg Professor of biblical Theology, Martin Luther(1483-1546) also preached regularly at Marien city-church and castle-church. In addition, most of Luther’s writings and works are originated from concrete existential Situations of christian Life. In this reason we can survey Luther’s theology in perspective of pastoral ministry. We will concentrate in this study upon 3 theological themes, those are the holy scripture, christian ethics and church. As a result, we expect, the work of pastoral ministry Luther’s be useful introduced in christian Life, especially in Korean situation of christianity.
