기독교가 성인들의 성 인식과 태도에 끼친 영향에 대한 연구

A Study on Influence of the Christianity on Sexual Consciousness and Attitude of the Adults

본 연구의 목적은 한국 기독교 성 담론이 성인 교인들의 성 의식과 태도에 끼친 영향을 성 인지적 관점과 담론 분석의 관점에서 분석하여 소통과 영성과 책임을 강조하는 기독교 성인 성교육을 정립하기 위한 지식 기반을 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 몸과 성에 대한 기독교의 성 담론을 교회 전통을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 전통적 성 담론은 위계적 영육이원론에 기초하여 육체를 부정하고 성차별적인 금욕주의를 강조하는 데 반해서, 여성신학적 성 담론은 몸과 성을 긍정적으로 재해석한 성육신 신학을 발전시켰다. 본 연구는 앞에서 언급한 기독교 성 담론이 교인들의 성 의식과 태도에 어떻게 반영되는가를 심층면접을 통해 밝혀내었다. 그 결과, 기독교성 담론은 교인들의 의식 형성에는 많은 영향을 주지만 성 태도를 결정하는 데 미치는 영향이 적다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 영성과 성 사이의 상호관련성에 대한 이해는 전반적으로 낮은 수준에 머물러 있다는 것도 밝혀졌다. 이러한 분석 결과에 근거하여 본 연구자는 기독교 성인 성교육의 과제를 제안하고자 하였다. 성은 관계적 개념이기에 기독교 성교육은 소통과 성찰로 친밀감과 유대를 배우고, 영성으로 독립과 의존의 역동적 관계를 만들고, 책임으로 정의로운 성적 공동체를 이루도록 도와야 한다는 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of sexual discourse of Korean Christianity on gender consciousness and attitudes of adult Christians from a gender feminist perspective and discourse perspective. The study tries to provide a knowledge base for a Christian adult gender education emphasizing communication, spirituality and responsibility. This study examined the Christian discourse on body and sexuality, concentrating on the church tradition. Traditional sexual discourse, based on dualism of fleish and spirit, emphasized sexist asceticism of the body, while feminist gender discourse developed a new body theology, interpreting the body and sexuality in a positive way. Through a in depth interview, This study reveals how the above mentioned Christian sexual discourse reflects on sexual awareness and attitudes of Christians. The results show that the sexual discourse influences the development of awareness, but had few influence on sexual attitudes. Generally, the understanding of the interrelationship between the spirit and sexuality was rather low. This study suggests tasks of Christian adult gender education based on the results above. Sexuality is a relational concept. In that context, Christian gender education has to create intimacy and solidarity through communication and reflection, develop a dynamic relationship of independence and dependency through spirituality, and support the creating of a just sexual community though responsibility.
