현대 신학 담론에 대한 ‘트리컨티넨탈리즘’ 의 도전

The Challenges of Tricontinentalism to Contemporary Theological Discourse

이 글은 기독교 선교의 결과로 비서구 지역을 중심으로 새롭게 형성되고 있는 세계 기독교에 대한 논의 및 이해를 포스트 식민담론(postcolonial discourse)을 통해 모색하고, 이를 통해 앞으로 나아갈 기독교 선교의 담론을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 남반구를 중심으로 형성되는 새로운 기독교의 등장은 기독교 신학의 지형의 새로운 변화를 가져왔을 뿐 아니라 새로운 정체성에 대한 담론을 제시한다. 기독교의 새로운 중심으로 등장하는 포스트 식민주의 주체에 대한 논의와 이를 통하여 기독교의 서구 중심성을 비판하는 한편, 새로운 신학적 지도를 작성하고 위치를 재설정하여, 다름(difference)과 타자들이 함께 공존하는 공간을 형성함을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 포스트 식민주의 담론을 해석의 도구로 사용하여 새로운 인식체계와 구조를 제안하고, 존재론과 본질론에 내재되는 폭력성을 지적하면서, 포스트 식민주의 담론을 통한 ‘혼종적 혹은 디아스포라의 정체성 정치’ 를 제안한다. 이는 정체성을 투쟁과 저항의 도구로써, 한편으로는 조합과 대화, 그리고 연대의 도구로 사용하여 이를 윤리적인 주체의 원동력으로 제시할 뿐 아니라 신자유주의 시대에 대한 저항과 대안의 담론으로 트리컨티넨탈 신학을 제안한다.

This is to articulate about the emerging World Christianity in the non-Western world, as a result of modern missionary movement, and to reflect the future Christian missions through Tricontinetal (Africa • Asis • Latin America) postcolonial discourse. And it is to indicate that the emergence of Christianity in non-Western world has brought a radical shift in the theological terrain, suggesting a new discourse on Christian identity. Therefore, it is imperative to articulate the postcolonial subjects as new subjects, in critically evaluating the euro-centric ideology within Christianity, and to suggest a new map for theological imagination creating a space for 'others and differences.' For this, it attempts to facilitate the postcolonial discourse as a hermeneutical tool to expose the innate structural violence within the essentialism and ontology, and to suggest an alternative way of doing theology. Therefore, in this sense, by articulating 'the politics based on hybrid or diasporaic identity' as the mean of resistance as well as of dialogue and mutual cooperation in solidarity, new tricontinental subject is constructed to resist the dominant ideology of "nee-liberal globalization" and to provide an alternative discourse for theology today.
