[연구논문] 출산, 돌봄, 그리고 구원의 기쁨 : 이사야 66:7-14에 나타난 생명옹호적 구원이해

The present article examines a life-oriented biblical model of salvation whicb IS expressed in the metaphor of childbirth and nurturing, driven from Isaiah 66:714. This model is distinctive from other biblical models of salvation that focus on other world or that are depicted by a metaphor of war or violence. Differences can be illustrated in three ways. First, this model understands salvation not as an event but as a process throughout which God and people work in partnership to bring new heavens and earth within this world, as like parents work together in the whole process of childbirth and nurturing until the baby is fully grown. Second, human beings are not just the object of salvation. Rather they become the subjects of salvailon history as life-bearers and share the joy and sorrow together. Third, this model understands salvation in the light of creation. Thus, salvation means to create new world and keep working to preserve the world, rather than simply to fight! against old world/situation.
