Theology include faith, reflection and praxis. and knowledge as the result. Since theology became an academic discipline in the university. the logical trend of theology as knowledge has been settled influenced by Scholarism, disappearing gradnally the elements such as faith, reflection and praxis in terms of subjectivity. Theology has been appropriated by the intellectuals who studied high level in the university. owning philosophical knowledge and capacity of reading foreign languages and biblical language, being equipped with Christian tradition, doctrine and hermeneutics. It is said that theology is out of speaking the suffering, joy and sorrow, love and marriage, despair and hope in everyday life and even responding to those issues in the meaning of degradation of theology. Consequently, theology became a part of philosophy or religious studies being away from the church. Today the essential element of the crisis in theology is the pure academism itself lacking faith, reflection and praxis, surrounded by the ivory tower of university. Therefore, theology has to recover the comprehensive essence, that faith, reflection and praxis of a theologian is prior to the knowledge research or transmission of the knowledge as a result. Theology is doing interpretation of the scripture and tradition for the faith community in the particular historical situation. Theology that is contextual realizes that culture, history, contemporary thought forms, and so forth are to be considered, along with scripture and tradition, as valid sources for theological expression. Thus it does not produce a single theology but diverse results in theology. This is the reason why we have to transfonn the paradigm in doing theology. It is that a new theology pursuits interpretation of the scripture and tradition from the perspective of real life here and now, and doing theology for the reflection and praxis based on our faith for God and Christ.
