Much attention has been paid to the study of psychoanalysis in a contemporary academia. Since psychoanalysis has been concerned with the seriousness of human problems and their solutions, many pastoral theologians have heen much challenged by its insights and analyses. Psychoanalysis has also been the main focus of current feminist studies. In contrast to in a male-biased knowledge, desires, emotions, and multiplicity of humans have been focused on in the study of psychoanalysis. In this paper, thus, I discussed diverse psychoanalytic approaches to the understanding of women's religious experiences. Feminist religious scholars have just recently interested in the importance of psychoanalysis, since it is believed that psychoanalysis is not only individual-oriented but also serves to the social adjustment of humans which prevents from the feminist liberation. However, this paper presented the methodological similarities between feminist religious studies and psychoanalysis in terms of its emphasis on human experiences, and used the psychoanalysis for the understanding of many feminist theological issues. Alice Miller, Donald Winnicott, and other psychoanalysts provided useful theories and concepts in the feminist theological understanding of human existence, salvation, healing, and Jesus Christ.
