“Jinil” is bolting resistant and high-yielding Angelica acutiloba cultivar developed by a medicinal crop breeding team of the National Institute of Crop Science during the period from 1993 to 2004. The cultivar was selected from Jinbu local variety. Jinil has a green stem color. It has a broader leaf blade than that of Geumsan local variety. Jinil was stable for bolting which is one of the most problem in Angelica acutiloba cultivation. Bolting rate of Jinil was 1.3% compared to 17.5% of Geumsan local variety. The root yield of Jinil was 2.3 ton per hectare, which was increased 29% compared with a check variety, Geumsan local.
