본 연구는 우리나라에서 이루어진 교육재정경제학의 연구 동향을 내용 분석 방법을 중심으로 살펴보고 이를 통하여 연구의 방향성을 모색하려는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 1998년 16권 1호부터 2009년 27권 3호까지 『교육행정학연구』에 발표된 742편의 학술논문 중 교육재정경제학의 영역에 속해있는 237편의 학술논문과 1998년 7권 1호부터 2009년 18권 3호까지 『교육행정학연구』에 발표된 249편의 학술논문 전체 486편을 연구의 대상으로 삼았다. 분석준거로는 교육재정경제학의 연구 영역, 연구대상, 연구목적, 내용체계를 포함한 4가지를 설정하였다. 연구의 결과에 따르면 첫째, 교육환경의 변화에 따른 다양한 연구의 필요성으로 인해 ‘교육수요’, ‘특성화’, ‘교육·학력·경제수준 연구’, ‘교육내용’, ‘구조개혁’ 등과 같은 영역의 연구가 좀 더 활발하게 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 특목고, 자율형 공·사립고 등과 같은 다양한 학교의 형태가 출현하고 있는 상황에서 좀 더 깊이 있고 다양한 수준에서 단위학교에 대한 논의가 필요하다. 셋째, 실제 교육재정경제 정책의 실무진 혹은 일선 관리자인 ‘교육 행·재정 공무원’, ‘교수·연구원’등 교육 행·재정가를 대상으로 하거나 이들과 관련이 있는 연구가 상대적으로 적게 다루어졌다. 따라서 이들을 포함한 연구 대상의 확대가 필요하다. 넷째, 문제 해결에 대해 표준화된 방법으로서 모형개발에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 다섯째, 실증적인 교육재정경제학 연구를 위한 국내적 · 국제적인 데이터베이스 구축이 필요하다.
This study analyzed journal articles form 『The Korean Society for the Economics and Finance of Education』and 『The Korean Society for the Studies of Educational Administration』from 1998 to 2009 in order to study ‘Trends of Educational Finance and Economy Research : in Korea’ For this study, 486 journal articles were selected to be analyzed. To analyze journal articles, a content analysis was applied, in which they were coded four topic areas. According to the content analysis, following suggestions were proposed : First, according to the variation of educational environment, a variety of areas in educational finance and economy research should be studied. Second, nowadays new types of schools replace traditional schools; therefore we know that an in-depth discussion is needed to find a solution. Third, it needs to study more humane subjects including educational public official, professors. Fourth, it needs to develop the models to solve various problems with that we may be confronted in educational finance and economy research. Last, it needs for everyone to build a domestic and nationwide network that provides database services to everyone wanting to come at something.
