영남대 소장 구결 자료 `大慧普覺禪師書`에 대하여

On the Kugyol Material Daehyebogakseonsaseo(大慧普覺禪師書) in the Dongbin(東濱) Collection of Yeongnam University

대혜 보각선사는 송나라의 혼란기를 살면서 현실참여적인 禪 사상을 펼친 인물로서 그가 다른 사람과 주고받은 편지들을 모아서 펴낸 『대혜보각선사서』에 그의 사상이 잘 드러나 있다. 이 책은 중국에서 처음 간행된 뒤 한국에도 전래되어 한국에서도 여러 차례 간행되어 한국의 禪 사상에도 많은 영향을 끼쳤다. 영남대 동빈문고에 소장된 『대혜보각선사서』에는 借字 口訣이 기입되어 있는데, 이 구결을 통해 당시 한국어의 모습을 알 수 있다는 점에서 매우 귀중한 자료이다.

Daehye(大慧) is a Zen Buddhist in the Song Period, who showed a strong propensity of social participation. Daehyebogakseonsaseo(大慧普覺禪師書) is a collection of letters which he exchanged with other people, in which his thought is well represented. After its introductionto Korea, this book had a big impact on Korean Zen Buddhism. In Daehyebogakseonsaseo in the Dongbin Collection of Yeongnam University, Kugyol letters had been written from beginning to end. We can see the linguistic facts of that time through this material.
