實學 연구의 맥락과 鄭寅普의 依獨求實

A coherence of study on Shilhak and Euidokgushil-deriving practical value based on the uniqueness written by Jung In-bo

우리 국학 고전 연구 분야에서 실학 연구는 민족-근대 라는 이념적 정체성을 발휘하며 구심력을 강화해온 반면 그 이념적 정체성에 대한 도전도 적지 않았다. 한편으로 실학 연구 이념의 핵심을 덮어둔 각론들이 무한히 확장되면서 실학 연구의 원심력을 조장하여 실학의 개념을 애매하게 만들 우려마저 있는 상황이 벌어지고 있다. 이에 1930년대를 전후한 실학 연구의 초기 정신을 재검토하여 다시 실학의 상상력을 회복할 필요가 있다. 근대적 실학 연구의 초석을 놓은 鄭寅普는 근대한문학의 대가로서 중세와 근대의 시차를 넘어서는 입장에서 星湖 李瀷과 茶山 丁若鏞의 정신을 계승할 것을 주장하였다. 이후 1970년대에 이르러 經世致用·利用厚生·實事求是의 실학 학파 계보가 완성되면서 민족-근대 의 실학 연구 이념도 완성된 것으로 보인다. 민족-근대 의 이념을 반성적으로 검토하며 새로운 단계의 실학 연구로 나아가기 위해, 본 논문은 이념의 축을 중심으로 지금까지 전개되어 온 실학 연구의 맥락을 재검토해보고, 실학이라는 고전을 통해 주체적 공동체를 추구하는 지식인의 상을 구상한 정인보의 초기 실학 정신을 다시 확인해 본 것이다.

Studying on Shilhak in our Korean traditional studies has strengthened its abilities, emphasized the identity nation-modern . But there are many challenges to the ideological identity. On the other hands, it has some concerns that make the concept of Shilhak obscure that many specialized studies that don`t handle the core of the Shilhak’s ideological study expand boundless. For restoring the imagination of Shilhak, We have to review the former spirit of Shilhak studies. Jung In-bo who made a basis of shilhak studies and was the master of Modern Sino-Korean literature claimed that we have to succeed the soul of Lee-ik and Jung yak yong. Since 1970’s studies of Gyoungsechiyong-school of thought that reach practical suggestions to straighten out the world-, Yiyonghuseng-school of thought that pursuit of the welfare as a practical benefit-and Shilsagushi-school of thought that search for profound truth as proven attitude- had been completed. And we could understand that nation-modern was also completed in that time. On behalf of going forward, this thesis is to review the coherence of Shilhak studies as ideology and re-confirm the Jung In-bo’s former spirit of Shilhak who tried to make as hape of an intellectual pursuit an independent community through Shilhak.
