대학생의 결혼과 출산의 인식과 태도 :경북지역을 중심으로

Factors Impacting on the Marital and Childbearing Willingness Among College Students

본 연구는 대학생들의 결혼의식 및 태도와 출산의식 및 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 경험적으로 규명하기 위하여 경북지역에 소재하는 5개 대학교 440명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 실시하였다. 조사는 2011년 10월 12일부터 10월 24일까지 수행되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 로지스틱회귀분석결과 주성장지 및 자녀가치관이 결혼의향의 대수승산비를 증가시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 성별, 연령, 결혼가치관, 성역할가치관 등은 결혼계획연령에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 다중회귀분석결과 나타났다. 셋째, 로지스틱회귀분석결과 주성장지, 결혼가치관, 자녀가치관, 자녀효용가치 등이 출산의향의 대수승산비를 증가시키는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 넷째, 연령, 종교, 자녀가치관 등은 희망자녀수에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 및는 것으로 다중회귀분석결과 나타났다. 그러므로 한국사회가 직면하고 있는 초저출산 문제를 완하기 위한 한 방편으로 대학생들의 결혼의향과 출산의향을 높이기 위해서는 이들을 대상으로 결혼을 선호하는 가치와 출산에 우호적인 가치를 함양할 수 있는 인구정책을 포함하는 인구교육이 필요하다고 하겠다.

The main purpose of this study is to explore the factors impacting on the marital and childbearing willingness among college students in the future. 440 questionaires were collected from college students in five colleges and universities in Gyungbuk area. The survey was carried out from October 12 to October 22, 2011. Findings of this study are as follows: First, it turns out that rearing place and marital values increase odds ratio of the pro-marital values in the logistic regression analysis. Second, sex, age, values for marriage have statistically significant relationships with the prospective age at first marriage among college students. Third, rearing place, values for marriage, and values for children, increase odds ratio of the willingness of childbearing in the future. Fourth, age, religion, and values for children have statistically significant impacts on the number of the wanted children in the future. Finally, we argue that population education program need to be launched in the colleges in order to increase marital willingness and childbearing willingness of the college students which, in turn, will help to alleviate the lowest low fertility in the South Korea.
