자유 작문과 유도 작문의 개별화 교수·학습 방법 적용 사례 연구

A Case Study on the Implementation of Individualized Teaching Learning Methods of Free Writing and Guided Writing : Focusing on reading Report

자유 작문과 유도 작문의 개별화 교수·학습 방법을 제시하고, 그 적용사례를 연구함으로써 학습자가 작문에 대한 흥미를 유발함과 동시에 학습자의 작문 능력을 향상시키고자 하는 데 본 연구의 목적과 그 의의가 있다. 연구 대상은 강원도 소재 중학교 3학년 60명을 대상으로 A, B학급을 선정, 작문 능력이 미숙한 집단과 능숙한 집단으로 나누어 연구를 진행하였다. A, B학급 각각 책을 읽고 자유 작문으로 독서 감상문을 유도 작문으로는 총 6가지 유형의 독후 활동지를 쓰기 과제로 부과하였다. 자유 작문과 유도 작문 과제 수행물로 학습자의 작문 양상을 유형별로 분류하였고, 이를 바탕으로 각각 개별화 교수·학습 방법을 구안하여 적용한 사례를 제시하였다. 내용 요약형 - 감정 꺼내어 표현하기 활동, 감정의 추측형 - 마음 들여다보기 활동, 구어체 이모티콘형 - 매체와 실제 구별하기 등 총 17가지 학습자 유형과 그에 따른 각각의 교수·학습 방법을 제시·적용하였다. 본 연구는 작문 개별화 교수·학습 방법을 학습자의 작문 능력에 따라 적용해 봄으로써 실제 교육 현장에서의 적용 가능성을 보여주고, 앞으로의 작문 교육의 방향을 모색할 수 있다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지닌다.

This study researches the implementation of simultaneously inducing interest in writing and improving writing skills by using the methods of step-by-step individualized free writing and guided writing, according to learners’ writing skills. The subjects of this study were 60 grade 3 students in a middle school located in Gangwondo. Two groups of students were selected: a group with poor writing skills and a group with good writing skills. After reading books, both groups were assigned to free write book reports and perform six types of post-reading guided writing. Learners’ writing phases were classified by type in assignment reports of free writing and guided writing. Step-by-step individualized teaching learning methods were designed and implemented for each group based on these reports. This study presented and implemented a total of 17 learner types and respective teaching learning methods including summary type(drawing emotions and expressing activity), emotion prediction type(peeping into the mind activity), colloquial style and emotion type(distinguishing media from reality), etc. This study showed the feasibility of implementing these methods into the field of education. It proposes a future direction for writing education by implementing individualized teaching and learning methods according to the writing skills of learners.
