공공임대주택 거주자 차별경험과 사회적 자본의 형성관계 분석

Relationship between Experience of Discrimination and Social Capital Formation from Public Housing Residents

본 연구는 이항로지스틱모형을 통해 차별경험과 사회적 자본 형성과의 관계를 실증분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 실증분석 결과 공공임대주택 거주자들이 이웃에게 도움을 줄 의향이 클수록, 교류가 활발하고 친한 이웃이 많을수록 과거에 차별경험이 높았을 가능성이 있다는 사실을 도출하였다. 하지만 그러한 노력에도 불구하고 과거에 자신이 경험했던 차별은 이웃을 신뢰하는데 있어 여전히 장벽으로 작용할 수 있다는 점 또한 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 공공임대주택 거주자라는 이유로 차별을 경험하였다고 해서 이웃으로부터 자신을 자발적으로 배제하여 외부와 단절하는 것이 아니라 차별경험과 유사한 여건, 계층이라는 동질감 등 공유를 통해 이웃에게 도움을 주고, 교류와 이웃 관계와 같은 공동체 형성을 위해 적극적인 노력을하고 있다는 결론을 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between discrimination experience and social capital formation using binary logistic analysis. As a result, it also confirms that the more the public housing residents are willing to help their neighbors, the more exchanges are active and the more close neighbors are, the higher the experience of discrimination in the past. Despite such efforts, however, the discrimination experienced in the past seems to be a barrier to trusting neighbors. The results of this study show that the residents who experienced the discrimination do not voluntarily exclude themselves from the neighbors and disconnects then from the outside, rather provide help to neighbors through sharing similarities. And that they are making active efforts to from better communities.
