동화를 활용한 유아 과학․미술 융합교육 활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력과 미술능력에 미치는 효과

A Study on Developing and Applying the Science-Art Convergence Education Program for Young Children based on the Storytelling

본 연구의 목적은 동화를 활용한 유아 과학·미술 융합교육 활동을 개발하고, 그 교육적 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 유아 과학·미술 융합교육에 관한 관련 문헌 및 선행 연구를 토대로 융합교육 활동을 개발하였다. 본 연구의 실험 처치는 2017년 7월 24 일부터 8월 18일까지 총 4주간 매주 2회 진행되었으며, 실험집단은 동화를 활용한 유아 과학·미술 융합교육활동을, 비교집단은 생활주제에 기초한 미술활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 동화에 기초한 유아 과학·미술 융합교육 활동은 유아의 과학적 탐구 능력과 미술능력 증진에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

This paper discuss the development and application the science-art convergence education program for young children based on the storytelling. Subjects were 34 five-year-old young children. The experiment was conducted two times a week for four weeks from July 24th to August 18th, 2017. Scientific inquiry capacity and art ability scale were used in the data collection. The science-art convergence education was used with the experimental group, and art education based on the theme was used with comparative group. Covariance Analysis was used to analyze to the data. The research results can be summarized as follows. First, children’s science-art convergence education based on the storytelling was found to have a positive effect on children’s scientific inquiry ability and art ability.
