노인요양시설 시설장의 시설운영경험과 지원방안

The Facility Managers’ Experiences of Operating Elderly Care Homes and Support Plans: Application of Phenomenological Research Methodology

본 연구의 목적은 노인요양시설의 관리와 운영에 중추적인 역할을 하는 시설장의 시설운영경험의 의미를 파악하고 이해하기 위한 것이다. 연구 참여자는 G지역에서 사회복지법인 시설을 운영하고 있는 시설장 6명이었다. 자료수집은 심층면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, Colaizzi의 현상학적 방법을 활용하여 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 시설장들의 노인요양시설 운영경험과 관련하여 18개의 주제와 5개의 주제모음이 도출되었고, 주제모음은 ‘변화에 대응하기’, ‘불안정한 시설운영’, ‘복지와 영리의 이중성 속에서 본질에 충실하기’, ‘불리한 경쟁에서 살아남기’, ‘지속적으로 유지하기’로 나타났다. 결론에서는 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 노인요양시설의 안정적이고 효율적인 운영을 위한 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning of operation experiences of facility managers playing a pivotal role in management and operation of elderly care homes. Participants were six facility managers who operated the elderly care home by social welfare foundation in the G Metropolitan City. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and the data collected were analyzed using Colaizzi s analysis method. As a result of analyzing the data, 18 themes and 5 clusters of themes of the experience of operating the elderly care homes were derived. The clusters of themes appeared as responding a change , unstable operation , devoting to the essence in the duality of publicity and commerciality , struggling for survival competition at a disadvantage , keeping it sustainedly . Based on these results, this study offered policy implications for operating elderly care homes stably and efficiently.
