Resting Metabolic Rate and Body FAT changes following Weight Loss by Continuous Aerobic Exercise

The purpose of this study was to examine Resting Metabolic Rate (BMR) and Body Fat changes following Weight loss by continuous aerobic exercise in obese women. The Subjects of the present study were 9 women : 9 women (whe were above by fat 30%) were carried out aerobic exercise such as aerobic dance, walking, jogging and cycling (ergometer) 6 times per week in a months. The subjects arrived into the laboratory in the morning atter 12 hour overnight fasting All subjects measured RmR, % body FAT and Fat Fres mass at weight loss program starting time, after 10weeks. All the RMR values were expressed as absolute value(kcal/day), absolute value/FFM(kcal/day/FFM) and absolute value/BSA(kcal/m^2/hr), and were calauated predicted RMR va;ue value minus actual RMR value. The weight and % body fat were significant differences in change of body composition following weight loss(p<0.05). Also, there were significant reduction before weight loss and after weight loss of %body fat. After weight loss was significant reduction than before weight loss in difference beween predicted BMR value and actual RMR valus(p<0.05). On conclusion, Actual RMR expressed as FFM increased in weight loss program by continuous aerobic exercise. The Research results showed that continuous aerobic exercises such as aerobic dance, walking, jogging and cycling are effectise to reduce body fat and to increase Resting mtabolic Rate(RMR).
