
The purpose of this study is to investigate English education majoring students’ interest in latest technology, innovation resistance, anxiety regarding future English education, and latest technology impact on English education. For this purpose, 93 students of English education majors were surveyed. Major results are as follows: English education majoring students’ interest in future technology based English education was relatively high while innovation resistance was relatively small. In the case of anxiety, the average of “I am afraid that I will not be able to utilize the technology required in English education using the latest technology” was the highest. The prediction of changes in English classes during the 4th Industrial Revolution era was not high, but the prediction of changes to ICT-based performance assessment or the prediction of the loss of paper-style textbooks was relatively high. As for the overall positive effects on English classes, subjects predict that future English education will be more intriguing and applicable to societal trends and innovations.
